Chevrolet has unveiled the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500, saying the pickup will be its “most powerful Silverado ever” when it reaches dealerships later this year.

The company said the new model will offer next-generation 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines, along with the enhanced 2.7-liter TurboMax and the Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel. Chevrolet said the 2027 Silverado 1500 will continue to offer four powertrain options.

Chevrolet also said the truck now has the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 engine in its class, though the company did not spell out the comparison set in its release. The automaker did not release horsepower, torque or fuel-economy figures in the announcement.

Inside, Chevrolet said every 2027 Silverado 1500 will come with a 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver information center. ZR2 and High Country trims will add an 11.5-inch front passenger screen, along with a heads-up display and rear camera mirror.

The product lineup will include seven models: ZR2, High Country, Trail Boss, Silverado, Custom Trail Boss, Custom and WT. Chevrolet said pricing will be announced later this year, alongside the truck’s on-sale timing.
