How we started
Wickenburg sits where the Hassayampa River crosses the Sonoran Desert, with Vulture Peak rising nearby. We started Wickenburg Times because this mix of riverbed and rugged hills, ranching roots and gold-mining history makes the town unmistakably itself. Trails lead us into the desert; familiar streets bring us back to the neighbors making a life here.
We write about Wickenburg with that landscape and heritage in mind, whether we’re looking at a change in town or a pastime that takes people outdoors. We’re part of Times Media Service, a network of local news sites, and this is where we keep our attention: on the place at the foot of those hills and along the Hassayampa.
